01Scope

This Policy applies to information we process about visitors, account holders, and BWP+ customers through the Services. It does not apply to third parties we identify or refer — such as official commissary or phone providers, bail bond agents, or attorneys — who have their own privacy practices.

02Information We Collect

Information you provide to us:

  • Account details, such as your email address and password.
  • Search and support information, such as the name, facility, and booking details of the loved one you are trying to find and support.
  • BWP+ purchase information, processed through our payment processor (we do not store your full card number).
  • Community posts, messages to support, and questions you ask Pulse.
  • Your contact preferences and mobile number if you opt in to alerts.

Information collected automatically:

  • Device and usage data, such as IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and actions taken.
  • Cookies and similar technologies, including local storage used to run the app and remember your preferences.

Information from third parties:

  • Records and availability data from jail systems, official providers, and public sources used to return search results and alerts.
  • Confirmation from our payment processor that a payment succeeded or failed.

03How We Use Information

  • Provide, operate, and secure the Services, including search, accounts, and BWP+ features.
  • Send booking-watch and status alerts and other communications you request.
  • Generate responses through Pulse and improve our help content.
  • Process BWP+ purchases through our payment processor.
  • Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, and security issues.
  • Analyze and improve the Services.
  • Comply with law and enforce our Terms.

04How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only as described here:

  • Service providers and subprocessors that host, secure, analyze, message, or support the Services, under contracts that limit their use of the information.
  • Payment processors that handle BWP+ transactions.
  • Official providers and referral partners you choose to engage — for example, when you proceed to a provider’s site or contact a referred agent or attorney.
  • Legal and safety: to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, enforce our Terms, or protect the rights, property, or safety of users, the public, or BeyondWallsPay.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
  • Aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you.

05Pulse AI and Automated Processing

When you ask Pulse a question, we process your query to generate a response and to improve our help content. Pulse provides general information and does not make legal, financial, or eligibility decisions about you. Please avoid sharing sensitive personal information in your questions when it is not necessary.

06Text Messaging Information

If you opt in to text alerts, we collect your mobile number and consent and use them to send the alerts you request and to honor opt-out requests. We do not share mobile opt-in or consent information with third parties for their own marketing. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP.

07Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and local storage to operate the app, keep you signed in, remember preferences such as language and theme, and understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some may affect how the Services work.

08Data Retention

We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.

09How We Protect Information

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

Utah residents have rights under the Utah Consumer Privacy Act, and California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended. Residents of other states may have similar rights. To make a request, contact us at support@beyondwallspay.com; we will verify and respond as required by law.

11Children’s Privacy

The Services are intended for adults age 18 and older and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

12U.S.-Based Service

BeyondWallsPay is based in the United States, and the Services are intended for use in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the U.S., you understand that your information will be processed in the U.S.

13Third-Party Links and Services

The Services link to or refer you to third parties with their own privacy practices. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those parties; review their policies before providing information.

14Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, provide additional notice where appropriate. Your continued use of the Services means you accept the updated Policy.
